This staged triptych of short to midsize operatic works is anchored by Leonard Bernstein's 45-minute Trouble in Tahiti (later absorbed into his opera A Quiet Place). As a standalone item, this early entrant in the genre of domestic-suburban satire can still carry some bite. But the Underworld Productions Opera team has also wisely tossed in more contemporary fare: Thomas Deneuville's Outerborough Songs and Justine F. Chen's Voice for a Future Nightingale. Mark Shapiro conducts; Gina Crusco directs.
