Intrepid violinist Jennifer Koh's latest programming brainstorm—a tribute to her chief mentor, Jaime Laredo—lives up to its name by bringing the two fine soloists together for four double concertos. In addition to Bach's familiar Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, Koh and Laredo play Philip Glass's Echorus and two pieces specially commissioned for the project: David Ludwig's evocative Seasons Lost and Anna Clyne's sumptuously dreamy Prince of Clouds. Accompaniment is provided by the Curtis Chamber Orchestra—an apt choice, since Koh studied with Laredo at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
