Zorn@60: Sacred Voices

John Zorn, a crucial architect of New York's downtown-music scene as well as its longtime bad-boy provocateur, turns 60 in September, and a huge wave of related performances is coming. Here's one of the first, featuring a pair of new pieces for female chorus inspired by the Guggenheim's new James Turrell exhibition. Zorn will be on hand for a discussion with conductor and New York City Opera general manager George Steel.
