A Made Up Sound

Dutchman Dave Huismans has been releasing groundbreaking, genre-traversing electronic music since 2006—from his early EPs under the 2562 alias for dub-techno labels Tectonic and 3024, to his 2010 and 2016 EPs as A Made Up Sound for Amsterdam's venerable house and techno label Delsin, to his 10 EPs (and, most recently, a retrospective compilation) as A Made Up Sound on the moniker's self-titled label. Huismans brings his eclectic mix of charmingly spazzy techno-funk with hints of dubstep to Good Room for his first NYC gig since 2013. He'll be joined by local Bossa resident and Bristol's Noods Radio DJ Shy Eyez. Distant Signal takes over the Bad Room with a live set of "moody vocals and analog gear" from Earth Boys and a DJ set from Steel City Dance Discs producer and the Lot Radio show host X-Coast.
