Bass Island

The name pretty much says it all, as a bevy of low-end enthusiasts take control of Governors Island. The bassiest of the bunch is Bay Area producer Lorin “Bassnectar” Ashton, who's making his last NYC stop of 2011 with this gig. But the rest of the wide-ranging lineup, including Lupe Fiasco, mash-up king Z-Trip, the talented beatsmith Prefuse 73, Virtual Boy, Dave Nada and Joro Boro, are all worth catching.
