Carnival of Love

At this circus-inspired V-Day fete benefitting artist collective Secret City, you don’t need a date to enjoy performances by experimental musician Sxip Shirey, a photo booth with burlesque star Tigger! or Amanda Freitag’s modern twists on traditional carnival foods such as cotton candy and funnel cakes ($2–$6). Lovelorn attendees can see if romance is in their future at a Tarot card reading, or get some action with Daniel Alexander Jones (better known as performer Jomama Jones) at a kissing booth. Meanwhile, couples can sample truffles ($1 each) and champagne ($5), before cozying up during a ride through the Love Tunnel.
