The Dance Parade, the annual celebration of expression through movement (this year's motto: "Unity Through Dance"), is back. The parade itself starts on Broadway at 21st Street, with floats and thousands of dancers wending their way past Union Square and through the East Village via St. Marks Place, and ending up at Tompkins Square Park, where the party rocks from 3 to 7pm; the DJs include Louie Vega and Anané, and Vega's Elements of Life Orchestra will perform live. Afterward, everyone heads to Affaire (50 Ave B between 3rd and 4th Sts) for the after-party.
