The Dub-Stuy label—helmed by the Sound Liberation Front and dedicated to promoting the progressive ends of bass music and sound-system culture—hosts a throwdown at Bushwick's Paper Box. French combo Chinese Man, a sample-happy unit that fuses dub and bass-music vibrations with hip-hop rhythms, finally makes its U.S. debut after forming nearly a decade ago. The combo is celebrating the American release of its Racing with the Sun LP, with Bastard Jazz's DJ DRM, Tuba's Bakir and DJ Ceiba lending support.
