Girls & Boys: Tokimonsta + Luminox

Tokimonsta is the nom de musique of Los Angeles's Jennifer Lee, an alum of the West Coast beat-scene ranks and Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder clan who infuses her music with a touch more ethereal beauty than some of her peers—but there's still enough rhythmic futurism to keep the boys happy. Tonight she plays in the somewhat unlikely setting of the normally big-room-beats-friendly Girls & Boys bash; support DJ Luminox should fit right in, though, with his tough, hip-hop-fueled rhythms.
