Andy Rudnick started the Matzo Ball 26 (!) years ago; this year it will be thrown in nine cities nationwide. The NYC event always attracts more than 2,000 revelers, and Rudnick himself is happily married to a woman he met at a ball in 1997 (and now he has three kids!). The formula is simple: Mix together one gorgeous ballroom, DJs and a cash bar. According to Rudnick, the fete has yielded more than 1,000 marriages. “The party can get a bit crazy,” he says. “We don’t frown upon scandalous activities.”
