New York Burlesque Festival's Golden Pastie Awards (slide show)

With all the pomp and pageantry (not to mention bare skin) it could muster, the 11th annual New York Burlesque Festival came to an end with Sunday’s Golden Pasty Awards at Highline Ballroom. This wasn’t quite like those dopey old Tony or Emmys, though—for one thing, Neil Patrick Harris—as much as we love him—can’t compare with the night’s imposing MC, Scotty the Blue Bunny. And for another, have you ever seen a stripping Thing or a bee-flower-fertilization reenactment at the Emmys? We thought not.
