The annual Night of a Thousand Gowns gala, held on Saturday April 6th, saw the Imperial Court of New York's torch passed from their Most Imperial Sovereign Majesties Emperor XXI Ritz Kraka and Empress XXVI Witti Repartee to the new royalty in town, Emperor XXII Wen-Dee Bouvier Pinkhouse the Rock ‘n’ Roll Emperor of Peace, Love, Unity and & Respect and Empress XXVII Gracie Steeles the Stiletto Heeled Jersey Girl Empress. It also featured performances coming courtesy of Taylor "Tell It to My Heart" Dayne, Broadway's Karen Mason, RuPaul's All Stars's Chad Michaels (as Cher) and others, and it hosted some of the most glittering revelers ever to hit the red carpet. But most importantly, the tirelessly fund-raising Court collected oodles of contributions for two very worthy organizations, GMHC and GLAAD. Behold the splendor!
