Night of a Thousand Stevies 21: The Wild Heart

The annual Nicksfest is back for round 21 (!), with Stevie wanna-bes from all over the world descending upon NYC like a flock of white-winged, wig-wearing doves. Chi Chi Valenti and Hattie Hathaway serve as the “enchantresses of ceremony,” and Craig Spencer and Sammy Jo spin the between-act tunes. The massive lineup includes NOTS vets such as Belladonna, Sherry Vine, Joey Arias, the Ho-Hos, master puppeteer Basil Twist, Heather Litteer and Butoh troupe Vangeline Theater, with plenty of newbies breaking their Nicks cherries. Here’s the (abridged) dress code: "hopelessly enchanted evening wear, heart motifs, vampiress velvets, fearless sable-on-blond hair effects, spiderweb shawls or total Stevie realness, all eras."
