Okayafrica Presents Electrafrique NYC

Launched in 1999 by Questlove, the Okayafrica website describes its mission as repping "Africa's new wave," presenting the continent's hugely varied traditional aesthetics with a futurist twist. Handling the presenting at today's event will be DJs Marfox (fresh from his PS1 Warm Up appearance over the weekend), Underdog and Cortega. If you're looking to branch out from the average, run-of-the-mill party tunes, this is most definitely the party for you. Plus, you get to spend your Labor Day on a roof, so yeah, kind of a no-brainer.
