Sónar on Tour: Die Antwoord + Azari & III + Seth Troxler + Paul Kalkbrenner + Tiga + Nic Fanciulli (canceled)

One of the world's most respected electronic-music fests, Barcelona's Sónar alights in Gotham with a rather heavy-duty lineup in tow. South Africa's rave-meets-hip-hop unit Die Antwoord recently made Internet waves by lampooning Lady Gaga in the video for "Fatty Boom Boom"; Azari & III, the team behind "Reckless (With Your Love)," are celebrating the release of a self-titled album on Dim Mak; Seth Troxler affects a kind of goofy, international-playboy persona, but he's really a talented maker and spinner of often-beautiful house and techno; Berlin's Paul Kalkbrenner is an alum of the Bpitch Control label; the veteran Tiga heads up the Turbo imprint, which has been on a roll as of late; and Nic Fanciulli, once regarded as the savior of progressive beats, now makes a lean, sinewy and often deep version of tech-house.
