The Bunker Unsound Edition

The aurally adventurous Unsound Festival teams with the like-minded Bunker for an evening of sublime electronic music. At the heart of tonight's program is a live set from Thomas Köner and Andy Mellwig, the near-mythic dub-techno group Porter Ricks; they performed together for the first time in years at Unsound Festival Krakow in 2013, so this NYC appearance counts as a very big deal—but there's more, much more. Experimentalist Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe (a.k.a. Lichens) lays down droning, looping sounds; fractured-house artist Ital and Mutual Dreaming's Aurora Halal make their debut as a duo; and Demdike Stare's Miles Whittaker, the Bunker label's Leisure Muffin and ambient-techno artist Le Petit Garçon add their otherworldly sounds to the soiree.
