The Bunker: Virgo + Levon Vincent + Mike Parker + Patrick Russell

DJ Spinoza is back with his monthly electronic-house–and-techno throwdown, and tonight's lineup is absolutely killer. The front room features a live set from Merwyn Sanders and Eric Lewis, together known as the longtime Chicago house duo Virgo…which is sometimes called Virgo Four and is not to be confused with the other Chicago-based Virgo that consisted of Vince Lawrence, Marshall Jefferson, and Adonis. (The 2010 rerelease of Virgo's sole long-player ended up on lots of best-of lists—how often can you san that about a release that's 22 years old?) They'll be joined by the Circus Company label's Patrick Russell and Bunker resident Eric Cloutier. The back room will be moving to the beautiful deep beats of Halcyon graduate Levon Helm (from the Deconstruct and Novel Sound camps), with Geophone's Mike Parker and Spinoza himself chiming in.
