The stars of the show tonight are the young Martinez Brothers, spinning their high-impact version of deep, soulful, sometimes techy house; these guys are great DJs and should sound excellent over Output's big-ass sound system. Filsonik is the NYC vet who's seen his star rise over the past few years—but we'll always love him for his simple yet brilliant 2006 cut, "Can U." Jus-Ed's Underground Quality label, meanwhile, sets up shop in the Panther Room, with Jaysun Merced (owner of Jackdat Record and the producer of the excellent The Ville EP on UQ) and Bumako Recordings's Jenifa Mayanja joining Ed in spinning deeper-than-deep house beats.
