Toca Cielo: Tutus & Top Hats (slide show)

Sure, a lot of people were focused on the opening of Williamsburg’s Output last night—but there’s still plenty of life in the old-guard clubs as well. Take the ten-year-old Cielo, for instance: On Friday, January 25, it hosted the ever-energetic Toca Cielo party, with Tedd Patterson and Maria Dark rocking some full-powered house rhythms for a packed dance floor, and added percussive flavor coming courtesy of JustinJustin Toca and the Ale' Ale' Drummers. TONY will be covering the party in greater depth soon (the fiesta will be celebrating its third anniversary this spring)—but this month’s edition featured an intriguing theme, Tutus & Top Hats, and that was enough of a reason to send intrepid photographer Filip Wolak to the club to document the scene.
