Tribute to Héctor Lavoe

Before Roots kicks off, Cielo pays tribute to Héctor Lavoe, the late, great salsa vocalist often referred to as El Cantante de los Cantentes. Not coincidentally, Lavoe was the uncle of Roots' Louie Vega, who will be both leading his great Elements of Life combo's rhythm section in a jam session and spinning a medley of Lavoe-related tunes.
