Annual Inner Beauty Pageant

Celebrate sweet singularity at this bizarre beauty contest. Host Jo Firestone calls it a showcase of “warmhearted oddballs,” in which a dozen contestants will take part in a talent show, strut in homemade swimsuits and participate in an off-kilter interview portion. Past talents have included eating an entire jar of jalapeños, and demonstrating a blindfolded taste-test. Expect similar ingenuity in this edition, where the audience will vote for the winner by ballot, to avoid any bruised feelings.
