[title]DESCRIPTION OF CONTEST: Time Out will hold a unique joke contest via Twitter each day between 10/21/13 and 10/25/13—one day for each of the five boroughs of New York City. All Twitter users are eligible. To participate, tweet a joke about the appropriate borough on the corresponding day of the week with the hashtag #borobash. The dates and their corresponding boroughs are as follows:
10/21/13: The Bronx
10/22/13: Queens
10/23/13: Staten Island
10/24/13: Manhattan
10/25/13: Brooklyn
Any tweet about the borough sent between 12am—11:59pm on the appropriate date will be considered. Any tweets without the hashtag #borobash will not be considered.
PRIZES: The winner of each unique, daily contest will win two (2) tickets to a New York Comedy Festival show to be chosen at the discrection of the Time Out staff. Each show will take place at some time between 11/6/13 and 11/10/13. Each winner will also receive "a bag of shit from the Comedy editor's desk": a selection of comedy-related books, CDs and DVDs. Grab bag items will be selected at the discretion of Comedy editor Matthew Love and will be shipped to an address of the winner's choice. Each of the winning jokes will be published with the name and handle of the author and appropriate fanfare in Time Out's upcoming Comedy issue #930, publication date 11/7/13. In addition, Time Out will bestow an honorary title on each of the winners, also to be announced in Time Out New York #930.
CONTEST RULES: All tweets marked with the hashtag #borobash will be considered. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. These competitions are open to any U.S. resident (unless otherwise stated) except employees of Time Out and sponsoring organizations, their agents or anyone directly connected to these promotions. No purchase required for this promotion. Contest valid 10/21/13-10/25/13 at 11:59:59pm. Winners must be 18 years of age or older unless otherwise stated. Prizes are as described above; no cash alternatives will be given. Prizes may not be sold, traded, transferred or refunded. Any and all federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the winner. If for any reason winners are unable to use prizes within the time specified, the participating organizations are not responsible for providing replacement prizes. No make goods will be given in the event of a canceled or rescheduled event. Prize packages will be shipped only to a valid address in the continental U.S. Approximate retail value of tickets and prizes: $250.
