Artistic director Robert Battle continues to present classics while introducing new choreography to the repertory of Alvin Ailey's venerable company, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018. Offerings during its three-week residency at City Center this year include the world premieres of dances by Battle and Jamar Roberts and new productions of Ailey's Reflections in D and The River—plus, of course, the company's 1960 signature classic, Revelations, which concludes most of the programs.
