Ayodele Casel: The Remix

Tap star Ayodele Casel has scored at the Joyce in two collaborations with jazz man Arturo O’Farrill. Now she returns with a program that looks back on her repertoire, including works by Naomi Funaki and Caleb Teicher, Quynn Johnson and Ryan Johnson. The bill includes a 20th-anniversary presentation of Audrey, Casel's tribute to the composer Dave Brubeck and dance elders Honi Coles and Cholly Atkins. Torya Beard directs the production; special guests include two performers fresh from the national tour of Funny Girl, Izaiah Montaque Harris and John Manzari.
