Dance Theatre of Harlem with ALA.NI

The historic black ballet company celebrates its 50th anniversary with a collection of signature works performedor free at Damrosch Park as part of the Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival. Opening for the troupe is jazz-cabaret chanteuse ALA.NI. Seating is first come, first served; gates open an hour before the performance. (A panel discussion at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, titled Dance Theatre of Harlem: 50 Years of Trailblazing History, is at 4pm the same day.)
