Earth Celebrations: Hudson River Pageant

The mission of this “ecological performance-art event” is to combat climate change and restore the Hudson River to health. The celebration's weapon of choice? A parade of 15-foot-tall puppets modeled after river species, a harmonic-chant concert and a water-cleansing ceremony, plus a choreographed dance of decked-out kayaks.
