Jeremy McQueen's Black Iris Project

At this free SummerStage show, McQueen’s predominantly African-American ballet collective performs Madiba, inspired by the late Nelson Mandela, and the world premiere of A Mother’s Rite, set to a four-hand piano version of The Rite of Spring. The evening begins with a workshop that teaches audience members to perform excerpts from Alvin Ailey's modern-dance classic Revelations.
