Keely Garfield brings her idiosyncratic and increasingly spiritual choreographic voice to Telling the Bees, a work with a stripped-down approach that embraces "the optimism of empty space." Inspired by the custom of telling bees when their beekeeper died—it was believed to keep the bees from dying—Garfield looks at ideas about life and death and the passage of time.
