Lumberyard in the City Winter Festival

Lumberyard Contemporary Performing Arts presents its third annual winter festival of dance and theater. Kei Takei and her Japanese company, Moving Earth Orient Sphere (Jan 25–27), present two works: a solo from 1974's LIGHT Part 8 and the U.S. premiere of LIGHT, Part 44 (Bamboo Forest). Playwright-performer Robbie McCauley (Feb 1–3) explores comfort food and diabetes in the NYC premiere of her solo show, Sugar; dancer-choreographer-artist Dana Reitz (Feb 8–10) concludes the fest with a new silent piece, Latitude, which focuses on the interplay of light and the body.
