Lydia Johnson Dance

Lydia Johnson and her contemporary-ballet company perform three new works developed during the pandemic: For Eli and Glide Path are set to music by Chopin and the NYC string quartet Ethel, respctively; Time...and again, set to Oscar Peterson recordings of jazz standards, is a duet created for company principal Laura Di Orio and guest artist Craig Hall, a former soloist and current ballet master with New York City Ballet. Also on the bill is Johnson's 2018 piece Undercurrent, a three-part suite set to music by Henryk Górecki.
