Parsons Dance

David Parsons returns to the Joyce with two new dances: Portinari, inspired by the Brazilian artist and political activist Candido Portinari, and an as-yet-untitled work set to the music of Steely Dan. There is also a premiere by Monica Bill Barnes; in Love, oh Love, she finds inspiration in details from everyday life and music by Kenny Rogers, Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. The season, which features three programs, also includes Caught, The Envelope, Nascimento and Sleep Study.
