Paul Taylor American Modern Dance

Perhaps the last living modern-dance legend of the 20th century, Taylor is still going strong at 86. In this engagement, his company performs 17 pieces from the Taylor repertoire, ranging from Book of Beasts (1971) though The Open Door (2016) and the world premiere Ports of Call. Also on the lineup are Merce Cunningham's Summerspace (1958) and a commissioned dance by Lila York, Continuum, set to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. Three works are featured in each performance, in assorted configurations.
