Prelude 15

This totally free, utterly unmissable festival at the CUNY Graduate Center showcases snippets from upcoming avant-garde work, offering the theatrical and dance equivalent of a "coming attractions" series. This year's curators—Tom Sellar, Frank Hentschker and Antje Oegel—have assembled a typically diverse bunch of art-makers, including cybertheater pioneer Annie Dorsen, provocateur David Levine, the up-and-coming Animal Parts, Mac Wellman and more. The closing performance is Erin Markey's Heavy Jennies (Oct 9 at 8pm), which will be at Pioneer Works in Red Hook.
