Works & Process: Underground Uptown Dance Festival

The Guggenheim's Works & Process series offers a week of commissioned works in street and social dance traditions, including hip-hop, house, Afrobeat, voguing, breaking, krumping and more. Programs include excerpts from Music From The Sole's I Didn't Come To Stay and Ephrat Asherie Dance's Underscored (January 12), the street-dance celebration The Missing Element (January 13), the work-in-progress choreopoem SpeakMyMind (January 14), Les Ballet Afrik's New York Is Burning (January 15) and the music-dance jam session LayeRhythm (January 17).
