"The Edible Garden"

Four installations form this living, growing exhibit that introduces youngsters to the process of growing and preparing food. On view this year you'll find Martha Stewart's Culinary Herb Garden, displaying herbs handpicked by the domestic diva and her team; the Home Gardening Center, where green thumbs learn the basics of growing their own food; and the Conservatory Terrace Planters, in which visitors admire beautiful arrangements of more exotic greenery. Families shouldn't miss the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden, where kids can try their hand at planting, tending and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables.
