A Woman of Paris

Most actors who direct aren’t taken seriously until they make a movie in which they don’t also star, and this was Chaplin’s bid for respectability (he appears only in a cameo). It flopped at the time, but seen today, it’s actually quite moving. Also on the bill is Chaplin's short "Payday" (1922)
