Time Out says

The late, great filmmaker Marlon Riggs gathered interviews from prominent African-American spokesmen and combined them with his own fight against AIDS, racism and homophobia to form a dense, layered look at tolerance and the notion of “blackness.” An incredible piece of antipropaganda that bypasses platitudes for performance art; we miss you, Marlon. Also on the bill is Riggs's Tongues Untied (1989).
