Compensation

Inspired by a 1905 poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar, Davis’s film juxtaposes two separate Chicago love stories involving deaf women—one set at the turn of the century, the other in the present. The feature screens with Iverson White's "Dark Exodus" (1985).
