Lang’s first hit—a Buñuel favorite—is one of those films in which the same character appears in several different eras (as in the dire Robin Williams flick Being Human). In this case, a woman gets three chances to save her beloved’s life. Thomas Rutishauser will provide live cello accompaniment.
