Down and Dirty + The Family

Time Out says

And here's an Ettore Scola double feature. Down and Dirty (1976) won the Italian director a prize at Cannes; it's a "satirical tragedy" about a group of people living in a one-room shack alongside a busy highway. Don’t go near The Family (1987) if you’re in the mood for exteriors—though the film spans nearly a century in the life of a single Italian clan, Scola’s camera never leaves the apartment in which they live. We're sensing a theme here.
