A program of shorts from the pioneering French film fantasist, featuring—surprise!—“A Trip to the Moon” (1902). We bet you didn’t see that coming. Still, it’s among the most famous 12 minutes of celluloid known to man or beast, and other great Méliès films being shown (“The Palace of the Arabian Nights,” “Merry Frolics of Satan”) manage to cram more imagination into one reel than a summer’s worth of blockbusters combined.
