Hiroshima, Mon Amour

The film’s writer, Marguerite Duras, seems to be under the false impression that repeating words over and over again makes them more profound with each repetition. Nonetheless, this is a fascinating tale about a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bombing and the French woman with whom he falls in love. Also on the bill is the director's essential Holocaust documentary, "Night and Fog" (1956).
