Johanna D’Arc of Mongolia

Something of a female Lawrence of Arabia, Ottinger’s exotic epic, unlike David Lean’s work, is more about costume design and cinematography than character. Delphine Seyrig plays an anthropologist kidnapped by warriors. This is the latest screening in IFC Center's "Queer/Art/Film" series. Artist Emily Roysdon will introduce the movie.
