Long Day's Journey Into Night

Eugene O’Neill’s play is such a towering masterpiece of 20th-century theater that all you need to do is cast it properly and get the hell out of the way, which director Lumet does. Katharine Hepburn, Ralph Richardson, Jason Robards and a young Dean Stockwell make up this excellent foursome.
