A vampire spoof starring Peter Fonda and Hal Hartley fave Elina Löwensohn, this is one of Almereyda’s most commercially successful films (though that’s not saying a whole lot). There are a few fun moments, but ultimately the enterprise gets bogged down in its own hipness. The director will speak after the screening.
