Night of the Living Dead

Flesh-eating zombies (“Yeah, they’re dead. They’re all messed up”) terrorize a small farmhouse in what may be the scariest movie ever made. Romero’s budgetary limitations, far from being a hindrance, actually contribute to the film’s nightmarish atmosphere.
