Post-AIDS-crisis America is examined via the biography of multimedia artist David Wojnarowicz, who died from the disease in 1992. Made only two years later, McLean’s film of Wojnarowicz’s memoirs feels punch-drunk from fresh grief. Messy, but still incredibly moving. Filmmaker Rose Troche (Go Fish) will introduce the screening, the latest presentation in IFC's "Queer/Art/Film" series.
