Queen Christina

Greta Garbo’s Christina is ostensibly heterosexual, but both her demeanor and her penchant for kissing her ladies-in-waiting smack on the mouth suggest otherwise. In any case, it’s a superb film, featuring an unforgettable final shot in which Garbo brings the house down by doing virtually nothing.
