Reflections in a Golden Eye

Huston’s adaptation of Carson McCullers’s novel of sexual repression is equal parts Southern gothic cinema and gauche camp, thanks to Marlon Brando playing all scales in the macho-to-fey range and Taylor acting like she’s, well, Taylor. It’s worth a look, and who knew Robert Forster was so hot?!?
