Same Old Song

Inspired by the work of Dennis Potter (particularly Pennies from Heaven and The Singing Detective), Resnais’s film is a romantic roundelay in which the characters periodically lip-synch to famous French pop tunes. It won’t mean as much to American viewers, but it’s a delight all the same.
